“My back, is back!” A discussion on a treatment option for low back pain with radiculopathy.12/11/2024 Zamora Acupuncture in North Scottsdale (85255)
What is low back pain with radiculopathy? Low back pain is a condition affecting anywhere from the lower ribs to the upper buttocks area and can range from a dull and ach to a sharp, unbearable type of pain. Radiculopathy, or a pinched nerve, occurs when a nerve root in the spine is compressed or irritated. When accompanied together, a pinched nerve in the lower back causes debilitating pain that can spread down the legs and even into the feet. This can make everyday tasks impossible for some. These symptoms can be caused by injury, muscle strains, disc issues, pregnancy, arthritis and much more. How can acupuncture help? Acupuncture enhances blood circulation to the affected area and diminishes inflammation by regulating the body’s inflammatory response at the nerve root level. Dr. Zamora uses traditional Chinese acupuncture style needling which is well researched for nerve pain. This approach provides relief from nerve compression related to radiculopathy. Additionally, acupuncture stimulates the nervous system, promoting the release of endorphins that help reduce pain perception, while also alleviating muscle spasms. What is the experience like during an acupuncture treatment? During your first visit, you will be welcomed with a strong sense of professionalism and care designed to put you at ease. Dr. Zamora will listen attentively to your concerns and conduct a thorough evaluation of your condition. She will explain how acupuncture can help alleviate back pain by promoting circulation and relieving muscle tension. Patients often remark on Dr. Zamora's genuine desire to help, and by the end of the session, many experience a sense of calm—sometimes a level of calm they haven't felt in months or even years. What are patients saying? Patients are saying things like, “Kourtney is very attentive, listens to your issues and her methods are very effective. My sciatic pain has been persistent and stubborn but her persistence and professionalism is slowly chipping away at it. I would recommend her to anyone.” -D.T. 9/9/2019 Contact Us: Get back to the things you love! Get back in the gym! Get your life back! Book online at www.AZacu.com or call 480-300-5767.
